"A lot of the "Satellite TV on your PC" claims I've seen may very well offer you software to enable viewing on your PC...
But after further research you apparently need one of those old school (i.e. large) satellite dishes in your back yard to do it.
(not to mention a method of repositioning it)
I don't see any mention of such things on your Tips/FAQ/Getting Started pages.
Can you explain to me how the software works with regard to actually getting the satellite signal?
Thanks much!

Hi Doug,
Thanks for the email.
I think the term 'satellite' is misleading in a way. I'm even thinking of removing it from my site title because although the TV stations on the PC TV products I've reviewed are available from many different countries, there's actually no satellite signal involved.
Instead, the stations are simply streaming video that's broadcast via the Internet. I think a better title for these kinds of products would be something more like 'Web TV Software' or 'PC Internet TV'.
It's basically TV that's broadcast over the web, and that's available via PCs with a web connection (preferably a broadband one). The quality of the videos is similar to the video format available at YouTube.com and similar web video sites. Although with technology improving very quickly in this space, it's going to improve (become more high-resolution) in time.
