Things could be set to change however with UK company Elonex's exciting new PC TV range. Any gadget lover will be forgiven for drooling on their keyboard at the sight of the sexy new Lumina media center.

It offers a high power PC along with a 32" HD wide screen LCD display. Everything's connected wirelessly so there's no cables hanging around to spoil the sleek, ultra-cool design.
Think of the possibilities for home entertainment...
HD movies direct from your hard drive
Why download and burn movies to DVD for watching on a TV? With this baby you could cut out the middle man and have a huge hard drive full of your favourite flicks. All ready to roll without touching a single disk.
YouTube and other video clip sites
Whether you love those viciously hilarious clips, independent movies like AtomFilms.com - or prefer the more educational side of web clips, this media center would let you enjoy your content without using your pc.
Watching TV on your media center PC
Software like PC Show Buzz would work a treat on this. And anyone in the UK who absolutely didn't want to pay for the yearly TV license could tell them to shove it.
The only downside is that web video needs to improve, along with our connection speeds. Streaming video technology has come a long way, but we're still not quite there yet.
But this PC TV combo is definitely the future. I just wish I could afford one.
